Abstract

Part of Plymouth Weekender and commissioned by 37 Looe Street, Association of Unknown Shores (Brandon and Piccini) ran a casting workshop to create 'hearts' that will be cast in brass, for installation at 37 Looe Street, site of the former Plymouth Arts Centre. The work responds to the legacies of Martin Frobisher's attempt to colonise Nunavut (northern Canada) in 1576-78. Frobisher's heart is buried at St Andrew's Church, Plymouth
