The preparation of high purity H235S

Abstract

H235S was synthesised by the reaction of H2 with elementary [35S] sulphur at 600°C with 100 mg of pumice added as a catalyst. The resulting gas was purified by placing the preparation vessel in a pack of ice. A yield of 46% was produced.
