Abstract

River Rememberings is a live performance combining movement, text, and an installation of found objects. The piece explores Thames river ecologies of the past, as a way to rethink our relationship with the river in the future.

Performed as part of MAO Late on 4th August 2022, the work began with a procession from the river to the gallery, followed by a performance combining spoken word text and movement with objects collected from Thames foreshore. An installation of the objects was on display throughout the evening after the performance.
