Abstract

The Stroke Association has just published a report into the provision of stroke care in the UK, Stroke Care – A Matter of Chance (Ebrahim and Redfern, 1999). It investigates the understanding and views of medical consultants and health-care commissioners regarding specialized stroke care and access to these services.
