Abstract

Magnetic force microscopy is a useful adjunct to other techniques for the study of the magnetisation distribution at the surface of magnetic materials. Here we report on a new probe coating which we are developing to enable the study of low coercivity magnetic materials with minimum perturbation of the sample magnetisation distribution.
