Abstract

The ability to predict accurately the response motions of slender or complaint structures in a wave environment is very important to offshore engineers. This paper presents wave-induced in-line and transverse root-mean-square (r.m.s) harmonic force coefficients obtained experimentally from a small diameter flexibly mounted vertical cylinder.
