Abstract

A 2023 film made by Angela Piccini as part of the AHRC Exhibiting Fashion project (PI, Jeff Horsley, Centre for Fashion Curation, London College of Fashion; Co-I, Angela Piccini, School of Art, Design and Architecture, University of Plymouth). In collaboration with Manchester Art Gallery and the Unpicking Couture exhibition https://manchesterartgallery.org/event/unpicking-couture/.

Exhibiting Fashion is a co-produced research project with Manchester Art Gallery, Bankfield Museum (Halifax) and Beecroft Art Gallery (Southend). We are producing a series of exhibitions and a toolkit to support non-specialist curators in small and medium sized organisations to exhibit their collections of fashion and historical dress.
