Abstract
The relationship between human and physical geography in Third World studies is examined with special reference to dambo utilization in Zimbabwe. It is suggested that combined work can make an important contribution to the theory and practice of development, but that problems of reconciling contextual and methodological differences require greater attention. -Authors
