Abstract

In October 1987 a symposium was held at Tilburg University, the Netherlands on the problems of correcting ocular artifacts in the human EEG. The same data set of a CNV experiment, in which seven monopolar EOG recordings were made, was sent to a number of researchers, asking them to correct these data in their own way. During the symposium the different groups presented their results and discussed the advantages and disadvantages of the methods used to correct the EEG. The present paper is a report of the discussions that followed during the symposium and thereafter.
