Abstract

This compendium consists of summaries of 49 scientific papers reporting on shoreline dynamics and coastal processes in South West England, predominantly relating to the coast of Cornwall. These papers have all been published in peer-reviewed scientific journals and have been written over the past two decades by researchers of the Coastal Processes Research Group, University of Plymouth. The production of this compendium has been made possible through support from the Flood and Coastal Resilience Innovation Programme (FCRIP), which has also contributed to the most recent research presented here and is supporting ongoing research that will continue to expand the evidence base for coastal
management in the years ahead. This collection of paper summaries is primarily aimed at professionals involved with coastal management.
