Abstract
This entry focuses on the introduction and application of the co-creation approach for sustainable development (SD). In the SD context, co-creation can be described as a joint effort to generate new materialistic or symbolic value for multiple actors of the society. Co-creation of SD has been explained with the help of smart community development context. A smart community refers to a geographical area or region where multiple actors are linked to each other for the SD of their community.
