Abstract
In comparison to controls, a significantly higher incidence of chromosomal aberrations was found in five women residing in an area heavily contaminated by inorganic arsenic from the Srednogorie copper smelter, Bulgaria. The high arsenic exposure was verified by measuring the arsenic concentration in hair and nails. © 1993 Birkhäuser Verlag, Basel/Switzerland.
