This edited book is the third companion text to International Perspectives on Exclusionary Pressures in Education (Palgrave 2023), following the first such text titled Theorising Exclusionary Pressures in Education (Palgrave, 2025) and the second titled Challenging Exclusionary Pressures in Education (Palgrave forthcoming / in press). The third companion text is titled Researching Exclusionary Pressures in Education and it will also provide analyses of inequities in education through context-specific case studies from around the world. In addition to highlighting different dimensions of exclusionary practices in schools and other educational settings, the chapters will illustrate varied methodological approaches to the study of in/exclusion. The book is intended to reflect the heterogeneity of research strategies in the field, and each chapter will contain empirical or illustrational content derived from different national or regional contexts.
