    Abstract

Different case laws were presented concerning waste, sewage as waste, wildlife and conservation, and environmental impact assessment screening. First is the declaration of the European Commission (EC) that Italy had failed to fulfill its obligations under three directives in respect of a number of alleged failings related to illegal waste disposals including hazardous and landfilling of waste. Second, prosecution of Thames Water Utilities concerning the unlawful deposit of controlled waste. Third, a declaration that Austria had incomplete or faulty transposition of a number of Directives on the conservation and protection of natural habitats for animal and plant species. Lastly, is the review of granting permission to Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club for the alleged unlawful improvements of their temporary homes.
