Abstract

This chapter presents an alternative perspective - namely that struggling with feeling low or anxious is part of the human condition. Rather than defining these problems as disorders or diseases which need detecting and treating, the focus should be on supporting people in their journey through life dealing with the mainly social challenges they meet.
