Abstract

This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows: The focused objective of this review will be to assess the effects of systemically administered antibiotics as an adjunct to scaling and root planing (SRP) in chronic and aggressive periodontitis in comparison to SRP alone or with placebo.
