Abstract
In a climate of lifelong learning, more and more continuing professional development events, such as conferences, are being organised. Organising a conference is a time-consuming endeavour, demanding a high degree of professionalism. There is little information readily available to guide the novice through this process. This article provides an introductory guide to organising a conference for occupational therapists, based on the author's experiential learning.
