Abstract
Data generated on the Sciex API-3000 and Sciex API-4000 triple quadrupole mass spectrometers was compared using plasma extracts spiked with an anti-cancer compound. A standard curve was prepared over a range of 0.6 to 1600 ng/ml was claimed using a deuterated internal standard. A solution of the anticancer compound was prepared at a concentration of 10μg/ml in methanol. The results show that it is apparent that the API-4000 is more sensitive by a value of about 3-4 when the compound is the anticancer compound that was run.
