Abstract

The live performance is an innovative and intellectually creative demonstration of the integration of theory and practice, re-assembling the fragments of television history using key authors in the field in the performance. The performance, which was constructed in segments allowed the participant performers to go ‘under the hood’ of a media archaeological experimental practice through artistic re-enactment practice. The fragments were then edited and played on a loop allowing for an understanding of such an innovative approach to re-working archival materials.
