Abstract

An immersive experience that enables audience members to spatially explore 1000 voices in song and join the chorus to sing along. Inspired by the story that 1000 voices sang in Penryn Methodist Church, now Arts Centre Penryn, when it opened on Tuesday, February 14, 1893. This experience is about finding voice in a community and the impact of this on health and wellbeing, as much as being a contemporary simulation of a historic moment to preserve the heritage of the building.
