Project Details
Overview
The issue of substandard and falsified (SF) medical products is recognised as a global public health concern, with inadequate research spotlighting the situation in LMICs low- and middle-income countries. The study was necessitated by a lack of comprehensive data on the awareness, attitudes and experiences of both the general public and healthcare professionals towards SF medicines and the absence of robust systems to mitigate the risk to public health.
Project Aims
In this study, we aim to assess the awareness, attitudes, and experiences of the public and healthcare professionals in Jordan regarding SF medicines. Additionally, we examine their understanding of associated risks and regulatory frameworks to identify gaps and improve SF medicine mitigation strategies. Findings from this study will contribute to global efforts in combating SF medicine, with a particular focus on LMICs and the Middle East.
