Overview
To provide training in health data science for a research-oriented career over a 2-year period. The first year funded an MSc in Health Data Science and Statistics at the University of Plymouth for the award recipient, in which they conducted a systematic review into the impact of immunosuppressants on malignancy post-kidney transplant. Research was continued in the second year by investigating a national registery to evaluate the impact of patient characeristics on developing malignancy post-kidney transplant.
Project Aims
The primary aim was to prepare the award recipient for a career in health data science research. The secondary aim was to find patient characteristics and immunosuppressive treatments associated with malignancy post-kidney transplant.
