Project Aims

This research arose from an industry-sponsored project to conduct a comprehensive Life Cycle assessment (LCA) for the manufacture and operation of a composite yacht. The study drew on industry-sourced primary data and included a systematic evaluation of LCA data quality for composite materials, alongside a critical appraisal of key methodological choices. The work contributed to ongoing research and development in the application of LCA to marine recreational craft, advancing understanding of uncertainty and data quality assessment specific to composite marine structures.
