Dr Hanne Knight (FoAHB) has won the Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Promoting Sustainability, recognising her exceptional contribution to advancing sustainability across the University and beyond. The award celebrates staff who demonstrate outstanding commitment, creativity, and impact in delivering the University’s Strategy while strengthening its national and international profile.

Hanne was recognised for her leadership in embedding sustainability through research, teaching, and external engagement, with demonstrable impact within the University, nationally, and internationally. Her work exemplifies how sustainability can be integrated into the University’s academic mission and civic responsibilities, from advancing the curriculum in Plymouth Business School to driving staff engagement and leadership in sustainability. Through this work, she consistently positions the University as a leader in sustainability.
