Research interests:
My PhD Slots of Fun: The Hidden Harms of Online Bingo looks at the experiences of women who play slots and bingo online, and at the harms related to the marketing techniques used by the gambling industry.
I am also interested in the wider 'addiction industries': food, tobacco, gaming, social media, gambling etc, and particularly the marketing/advertising of these products. These issues form the basis of my second year Contemporary Issues module.
