Accepting PhD Students
I am a researcher and academician specializing in energy transitions, quantifying health impacts, impact assessment, sustainability, and climate change mitigation. I work as a Lecturer in Energy Transition at the University of Plymouth, UK, and holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Policy from the Central European University, Hungary. My research focuses on sectoral mitigation pathways and individual well-being modeling to achieve net-zero transitions. I have published over a dozen articles in high-impact scientific journals such as Joule, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, and Springer Nature.
I have been part of the core research team that developed the first, second and thrid global report on climate and Sustainable Development Goal synergies for the United Nations. Throughout my career, I have tried to apply my expertise in different regions of the world, serving in various roles as an economist and an academic. My journey has included positions as an Economist at ABUD Kft in Hungary, an Assistant Professor at the Asian University for Women in Bangladesh, Visiting Faculty member at Jadavpur University in India, and Post-doctoral Fellow at the Central European University prior to joining the University of Plymouth.
I have also received numerous funding awards, including grants from the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 schemes and the Ministry of Japan. Currently, I am the principal investigator for a project funded by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Government of Japan.
In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
