Sian completed a BSC (Hons) Physiotherapy in 1997, before carrying on to do a Post Graduate Diploma in Physiotherapy at the University of Cardiff and a Masters in Clinical Research at the University of Plymouth, graduating with Distinction in 2017. 

She has worked as a Physiotherapist in South Wales and across the South West of the UK, specialising in Intensive Care at the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust from 2004-2018.

Her research has focused on post ICU rehabilitation.
