Before starting her doctoral studies, she worked as a researcher for unique and pioneering organizations like RUBANOffice and African Futures Institute in Nigeria and Ghana respectively while volunteering for both the Slum Art Foundation, and UrbanBetter - Cityzen4CleanAir campaign in Nigeria. Olasumbo has a background in Architecture, Architectural Technology and Urban Management.
