Lecturer in Occupational Therapy
I teach on a variety of modules for both the undergraduate and postgraduate occupational therapy programmes. In addition to teaching I supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research students. I have worked in a variety of settings in the Health Service Executive (HSE) in Ireland since qualifying as an occupational therapist in 2007. These include primary care, vocational rehabilitation, as well as acute, and community mental health services, including learning disabilities. I have predominantly worked with adults. I have a keen interest in research, in particular the occupational impact of engaging in a caregiving (family/friend carers) role and the influence caregivers have on patient health and well-being.

I have module leadership responsibility for OCT407: Occupational Studies: Foundations for Occupational Therapy Practice 2 &OCT408: Occupational Studies: Foundations for Occupational Therapy Practice 2.
