Overview

Profile summary

Enthusiastic Fish Ecologist from France.

I am currently a Postgraduate Researcher in the Fish Habitat Research unit, supervised by Dr. Ben Ciotti.

My Research focuses on Marine Juvenile Fish Habitats. I use several functional indices (fish's growthnutritionconnectivity) to improve our measurement of critical juvenile fish habitats and ultimately help setting conservation priorities.

One important focus of my research is the calibration of a RNA-based index of growth for juvenile fish. I use a combination of field data and data obtained under controlled conditions in the lab to make this index robust and more applicable.

I also use fish's otoliths and eye lenses as archival tissues to study ontogenetic connectivity, looking at geochemistry and isotopes.

My case study is the wild population of juvenile common sole (Solea solea) in the Severn Estuary.

I am also involved in the ICES Working Group on the Value of Coastal areas for Exploited Species. https://www.ices.dk/community/groups/Pages/WGVHES.aspx
