My main role is to produce maps and diagrams for academic staff in the School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences. Commonly these are for publications in books, papers and journals, but also for student fieldtrip handouts and other teaching materials.

I am the University's Digimap Rep, I produce most of the University's campus maps and I teach  mapping skills to Geographers and Environmental Scientists.

I help out on fieldwork as and when required, and manage the school's fleet of Fieldtrip laptops.

I try to keep the School's Image archive up to date, which can be found here:

    Teaching interests

I teach mapping skills, cartography, the use of Digimap and poster design to first year Geographers (GEES1104) and MSc Planning (PLG503). I support Shaun Lewin's QGIS teaching to Geography and Environmental Science undergraduates (GEES1104, GEES1106, GEES1102, GEES2301, GEES3307).

In addition to my cartographic input, I have taught and helped out on various Geography and Environmental Science fieldtrips. In recent years, residential trips have been to Western Australia, Brittany, Belize and the Pacific North West of the USA.
