An experienced Lecturer in Adult Nursing (Education). Hazel joined the University as a Lecturer in 2017 having worked in the NHS in acute cardiology, cardiac specialist nurse teams and as a practice educator. Hazel is a registered nurse teacher and independent/supplementary prescriber. Hazel is the Deputy Programme Lead (Truro campus) ensuring quality across the programe. Hazel is interested in teaching compassion in healthcare education and is the current membership secretary of the Collaboration for Compassion in Healthcare Education (C4CHEd), supporting and networking researchers locally and afar.
