Profile summary
Goodtime Okara is a Lecturer in Law at the University of Plymouth, whose current research focuses on the intersection of Property Law, Trusts Law, and Housing. He teaches various modules, including Property Law, Trusts and Practice, and Contract Law. He has supervised several topics relating to Property Law and Trusts. Before joining the University of Plymouth, he taught as a Law Lecturer at Rivers State University, where he was among the first cohort of first-class law graduates from the Faculty of Law.
Goodtime has published in a variety of law journals, including Conveyancer and Property Lawyer, Statute Law Review, and the International Journal of Housing Policy. His written evidence was published by the UK Parliament as part of the Housing, Communities and Local Government Committee’s inquiry into housing conditions in England.
Goodtime obtained his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Law from the University of Plymouth. He also holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in Oil and Gas Law with Professional Skills (with distinction) from the University of Aberdeen as an NLNG Scholar, as well as a Master of Laws (LLM) (with distinction) and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Rivers State University. He is a qualified barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and currently serves as the ECR Representative for the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, and as the PGR Admissions Coordinator for the School of Law, Humanities and Social Sciences.
