George Seymour

I am currently the Senior Robotics Technician for EEER. I oversee lab 303b and assist students in a variety of robotics and electronics modules. I particularly enjoy assisting students with their projects be it final year or personal. 

As part of my role I manage EEER 3D print lab allowing students to experience rapid prototyping and for us a team to manufacture parts for our lab and modules. Within the team I am responsible for module development and kit development for the Robotics modules along side James Rogers.

I also am currently setting up an start-up competition for Engineering, Computer science and biomedical students that is hoping to run next academic year 2024-2025.

Separate to my role I run a speed climbing business where I run speed climbing events with a speed climbing timing system I developed myself.

In my spare time I like to make short films and practice with my band Sourdough.

I'm also interested in teaching the electronics and theory behind electric instruments such as guitars and effect pedals as I feel there is a great crossover there which would serve as a great teaching tool to students.
