Gavin Wollacott

    Profile summary

    Gavin is an Advanced Practitioner with experience of working in primary care and urgent care.  Alongside the role of the program lead for the Independent and Supplementary Prescribing Program, He also lectures on the Advanced Professional Practice (Clinical Practitioner) and Advanced Clinical Practitioner apprenticeship programs within the Faculty of Health under the School of Nursing and Midwifery.

    He supports the wider AP team with the delivery of several modules in addition to being an educational supervisor for the HEE Centre for Advanced Practice ePortfolio. 
    Gavin has a passion to drive interprofessional learning within nursing, paramedicine and other allied health professions to equip learners, who are experienced clinicians within their own right, with advanced consultation skills, decision making and diagnostic skills to help the progression of non-medical advanced practice. 
    Gavin is still actively working in the NHS as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner within Urgent Care and Out Of Hours Services, and other education providers as a lecturer and Independent End Point Assessor.
