    Overview

    Profile summary

I am the Director of the Social Cognition Lab and Co-Director of Plymouth Face Lab.

    Research interests:
My main research focus is social cognition, which pertains to the way people think about others. This encompasses forming different impressions and judgments related to faces and bodies, including factors such as attractiveness, trustworthiness, friendliness, dominance, and more. I approach my research questions using a variety of behavioral and cognitive neuroscience techniques, such as eye-tracking, virtual reality, and electroencephalography, as well as observational and ethological methods. I am also interested in mate preferences, mating and sexual behaviour, and individual differences from an evolutionary perspective.
