In my current role, I coordinate the REFRESH trial — a three-arm, cluster-randomised study assessing the clinical and cost-effectiveness of oral nutrition supplements and fortified foods compared to routine care in older adults at risk of malnutrition living in care homes. My responsibilities include recruiting, setting up, and initiating care homes into the trial; managing and supporting fieldworkers across the Southwest, Dorset, Bath, Bristol, and the West Midlands; coordinating data collection; and developing training materials for care home staff. I also oversee the day-to-day operations of the trial and work closely with the project co-leads and the PenCTU team to ensure its successful delivery.
