    Profile summary

    As Head of Peninsula School of Medicine, I provide strategic leadership to the undergraduate and postgraduate medical programmes to ensure the delivery of the highest quality of educational provision.  Throughout my career in higher education I have been interested in the processes of teaching and learning, and am especially motivated to develop  evidence-based curricula  that produce excellent doctors and scientists. I am committed to support students and staff to achieve their full potential.  My research is investigating  the reliability and validity of medical student selection ,   faculty and staffing structure and professional identity ,  the best ways of teaching safe and effective prescribing,  and the effectiveness of integrated medical sciences curricula.
