Profile summary
Reporting to the Vice-Chancellor, Chris provides strategic leadership across the 3 schools of the faculty and is responsible for ensuring the faculty delivers excellence across all aspects of education and the student experience, research and innovation. His role includes:
- Executive leadership of the Plymouth Business School and the Schools of Law, Humanities and Social Sciences and Art, Design and Architecture
- Chair of the Reputation Steering Group
- Membership of key institutional bodies, including Senate; Academic Development and Partnership Committee; IT and Digital Committee; University Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Committee; UEG Risk Review Group
- University Executive Chair University Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Committee
- Board Member of Plymouth Culture
Chris Joined the University in 2017. Before undertaking his current role, Chris was the Head of the School of Art, Design and Architecture at the University. Prior to that, he was Associate Pro Vice-Chancellor, Enterprise at the Toi Rauwharangi College of Creative Arts at Massey University in New Zealand. Chris is an interactive media artist and designer, and member of the Squidsoup collective, an international group of artists, researchers and designers working with digital and interactive media experiences.
