Blair is a lecturer in Urgent and Emergency Care at the University of Plymouth and a current radiology doctor. Blair has a clinical and academic background in emergency medicine. Before joining the University in 2017, Blair completed an Academic Foundation Programme, followed by an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellowship in Plymouth.
Blair completed his PhD in 2024, resulting in a concise patient-reported experience measure for older adults attending the emergency department (PREM-ED 65).
Blair's research integrates frontline clinical experience with expertise in mixed methods and patient-public involvement. His research interests include patient experience, patient-provider communication, and major trauma. Blair's current research direction involves examining the role of imaging in acute care pathways.
At the University of Plymouth, Blair actively contributes to the delivery of intercalated programmes in emergency and critical care medicine.
