Dr Benson Ip

Benson is a registered Occupational Therapist in several countries, including the UK, Hong Kong, Australia, and New Zealand. His PhD research focused on using Virtual Reality Technology Interventions to reduce the risk of falls among older adults with Mild Cognitive Impairments. Devoted to advancing eldercare services, Benson has embraced the Eden Alternative, introduced by Dr. Bill Thomas, as a new model for eldercare culture in Hong Kong.
With over 25 years of experience, Benson specializes in eldercare management and community-based rehabilitation for individuals living with disabilities and dementia. He has acquired extensive learning experiences in Australia, Japan, and Singapore, focusing on eldercare, empowering models for people with chronic illnesses, and innovative healthcare technology.
Benson is a pioneer in introducing the Eden Alternative in Hong Kong and holds the distinction of being the first Eden Associate in the region. Actively promoting care culture education, he extends his efforts to Hong Kong and its surrounding areas. Recognized as one of the Eden Asia regional educators, Benson supports and engages in learning the Eden curricula to bring this knowledge into Hong Kong and Macau.
