Research Interests
Anastasios is currently undertaking a doctoral research degree (PhD) on community engaged dental education and social accountability. His research aims to explore the impact of community engaged dental education on undergraduate student’s empathy, their views towards social accountability, and their attitudes towards interprofessional learning. The findings of this research will be used to inform current educational practices. By producing a socially accountable workforce, it is anticipated that the needs of the most vulnerable populations in the society can be appropriately met, which will enable bridging the oral health equity gap.
Anastasios has also conducted and been involved in various oral health-related research projects.
His research interests include but are not limited to:

4.2 Exploring the experiences of dentists and dental nurses working at Urgent Dental Care Centres in England during the COVID-19 Pandemic. A qualitative study.
