Overview

Profile summary

I am a post-doctoral research fellow based in the Marine Biology and Ecology Research Centre (MBERC). My current research aims to provide scientific evidence for the ecological effects of decommissioning oil and gas structures with the view to inform their end of life management. I am also involved in marine eco-engineering projects, including generating and synthesizing evidence for the multifunctionality of coastal eco-engineering interventions.

Recent projects include: the INSITE "DREAMS" Decommissioning – Relative Effects of Alternative Management Strategies and INSITE Synthesis projects. These projects aimed to provide scientific evidence on the environmental and societal effects of offshore artificial structures in the sea, such as oil and gas structures and offshore wind farms, and the effects of various decommissioning options.
