    Amazon originally graduated with a BSc in Biomedical Science at the University of Plymouth, after which she gained a position studying for her PhD investigating the relationship between hypertension and periodontal disease with an examination of the oral microbiome, at the University of Plymouth. Amazon is also involved with other studies within the University of Plymouth's Oral Microbiome Research Group relating to oral health in smoking, mouthwash use, and women's health.
