    Alex Halls is a PhD Candidate at the University of Plymouth, specialising in airpower during the Second World War.

    His thesis examines the importance of public morale and opinion to RAF Bomber Command's strategic bombing of Germany and Occupied Europe. 

    Alex also works part time for the National Trust as a Visitor Experience Officer, developing and organising events programming for visitors and families, with the aim of promoting the importance of the history of the property he works at.

    Teaching interests

    Alex has guest lectured for Dr Harry Bennet on Hist501 - Dunkirk to D-Day:The Second World War In Europe. These lectures covered the overlooked role of Bomber Command during the Battle of Britain, and the development of strategic bombing policy from the end of the First World War, to Dresden.
