Overview

Profile summary

My background is in physics, renewables, and digital engineering. I am experienced in using analytical, numerical, and practical methods to help develop ideas through the technology readiness level (TRL) scale, as well as with packaging complex models into user-friendly apps so that they can more easily aid decision makers. This has given me a broad technical skillset that is ideal for supporting the research and development of floating offshore wind farms.
Prior to joining Plymouth University, I worked as a research fellow in the Offshore Renewable Energy Group at the University of Exeter, where I helped in the development and testing of the Ec Simulator for the Cornwall FLOW Accelerator project. While at Exeter I also worked on the Marine-I project, providing research and modelling expertise to Cornish marine technology companies. I have also worked as a research engineer in the High Value Manufacturing Catapult, spending nearly 4 years at the MTC conducting multiphysics analysis and developing simulation apps to support commercial R&D.
