Overview
Organisation profile
At the core of the Research Group is the continuous pursuit of how university Business Schools can better serve their stakeholders through creating impactful education and learning experiences. These stakeholders include learners, employers, policy makers, civic community, delivery partners, and the academic community.
Continuous technological, economic, and societal change demands thoughtful, evidence-based and innovative approaches to delivering undergraduate and postgraduate business education. But also, to how Business Schools respond to the need for practical life-long learning, entrepreneurial and creative mindsets, contemporary doctoral education, and effective leadership development.
The Research Group looks at the ‘how’ and ‘what’ of business education and learning, seeking to close the gap between provision, need and impact. Of particular interest is the role of technology on the learner experience and the continuously evolving need for technological capability in learners and learning facilitators.
At the heart of the Research Group’s activity are a set of fundamental beliefs that business education should be:
- Inclusive
- Impact rather than input driven
- Evidence-based
- Designed for both divergent and convergent thinking and behaviour
- Grounded on human identity
- Collaborative
- Useful
