Organisation profile
Plymouth Business School has a research active community producing high quality trans- and interdisciplinary research of local, national, and international importance. We work collaboratively, engaging with individuals, businesses, and organisations from the private, public and third sectors to deliver impactful research which is making a difference to societies, economies, and cultures around the world.
Our commitment to sustainable business underpins our research agenda and reflecting our key research strengths, Plymouth Business School is home to two interdisciplinary research clusters:
- sustainable business: productivity, innovation and performance (PIP)
- sustainable business: consumers, business and community behaviour and management (CBCBM)
Within these clusters are six Research Initiatives (RIs) which bring together academics from across different subject areas who have a shared interest a specific research theme. These are:
- Product and Services Value Chain Management (PROSERV)
- Centre for Coastal Communities (CfCC)
- Modelling and Simulation for Social Systems (M&S3)
- Maritime Transport
- Competition, Innovation and Positioning (CIP)
- Responsible Decision-Making and Leadership
Staff within Plymouth Business School are currently engaged in highly impactful externally funded projects Examples include:
