Digital Health Research Group

Overview

Organisation profile

Linked to the University's Centre for Health Technology, our group is interested in the application of technological innovations to support healthcare with a special focus on accessibility and equity. The group values multidisciplinary approaches and is therefore diverse in nature. The group is purposefully not restricted to the development of hardware or research concerning engineering elements of digital health. Alternatively, the group aspires to be of practical use and aims to consider the whole implementation funnel of innovations, the relationship of digital health with health inequalities, and system wide considerations in translating digital health into practice.  The group welcomes the novel use of research methods and scholarly activity that is preoccupied with participatory user centred design.  The group aspires to draw together industry, practice, education, and PPIE engagement by fostering greater relationships across the health and social care system.
