EEFIT Surface Rupture Data

This dataset is a combined line shapefile composed of: 1) original mapping by Sarah J. Boulton (University of Plymouth) as part of the EEFIT event response effort, and 2) and edited lines sourced from database of Reitman et al. (2023). These published data have been checked for consistency and a significant number of changes made primarily consisting of: a) removal of duplicate lines for the same rupture segment; b) reshaping lines where inconsistent with satellite imagery, and c) removal of lines identified as other non-tectonic features such as shadows, crop marks, tracks etc.
